today we did some catchup stuff and printed out accellerated math. thank goodness its winter holidays.hurah!

today in math we did more rational expressions. but this time we added and subtracted then. i also learned that if you are adding the 2 expressions the denominator stays the same. it is like

today we did more rational expressions and changing them to simplest form. the trick for some questions are to factor the questions and cancel eachother out so the question is easer to work with. we also did multiplying than simplifay and he gave us the formula (a/b)(c/d)=ac/bd. when dividing rational expressiond you just flip the 2nd expression.

today in math we attempted to take notes on rational simplification. We also rescedueled the retest to december 11 its a friday. thats the other day our band is gone touring all day. i will still have to miss band to write the test:(

taday we learned about rational exponents. the word rational he wants us to think a/b. We also learned about non-permissibles and The zero-product property a x b=0 means that one or both a or b must equal zero.

today in math we did mental math and the laws of sines and cosines. the laws are simpler than they look. the math is easy if you know what you are doing.

today in math he went over the test with us. i dont think i did too well. i probably would have gotten a better mark if we would of had this test sooner.

today we writen the test we should have written 2 weeks ago. I wish I could have written it 2 weeks ago because , i forgot most of the stuff that he tought us 2 weeks ago. Im lucky if i didnt fail that test.

today wasent the most exicing class ever, we did more on the pythegorean therom. he gave us a review on whats on the test tomorrow also.

today in math we did some notes on trigonometry. We are just reviewing it we learned this in grade 9. we also learned about pythagorean triples. (3,4,5) (5,12,13) (8,15,17) etc. The pythigorean tripples are unlimited. Then we looked at the tree octopus and the finger monkeys.

today in math we learned to factor with conjugates. We also did rationalizating denomanators part two. I think this stuff is eazy. He also gave us more jokesheets.

today in math we did mental math. That was our fimal mm so we averaged all the tests and my average was 74%. Then we went to a prep ralley. That is all we did in math today.

today in math we learned how to solve exponential equations and how to rationalize denomonators. I wish he wouldent write so fast. i couldent write all the notes down in time before he scrolled down and the notes i am copying are cut off.

today in math he gave us our tests back. he is going to let us correct it and split the difference so we will get a better mark on the test. With our upcomming test i would have prefered to have it this thursday not next thursday. i feel i could prepare in 2 days and will be ready to wright it on the 4th. I think 2 days is plenty of time to study.

Today he asked us Can you do this? so we did some questions like 4-1/2 and learned different ways to do that question. We also did mental math. I like the mm questions they are just right for me. there not too hard and not too eazy. in accellerated math i am where i am suposed to be and have mastered every objectine so far.

today in math we worked on the joke sheet.
I Thought it was EZ once i learned how to do it. My exercize 21 i struggeled on for 2 days but i eventualy figured it out. The exercize was on Rational exponent. It is acctually ez but its hard without a calculator we arnt allowd to use a calculator. I the real world we would only use a calculator. If i could use a calculator i wouldent have got frusturated and it would have taked me 1/10 of the time to finish it.

this math is sure getting harder!!!!today we learne rules for exponents. I wish for excellerated math that the slow people would catch up so we could learn more.

today we studied for our test and we talked about slope y intercept form, standard form, and point slope form. We also went over parellel and perpendiculer lines.

today we learned about relationship between parallel/perpendicular lines. and that you cant tip a 3 legged piano stool.

Today we did hard questions people picked out and figured them out as a class on the smartboard. We also did mental math. the questions were based on slopes and points.

today in math we talked about linear equations and the formula y=mx+b. also standard form Ax+By+c=0.

today in math we had our first real test. we did lesson 1-3 in our books and then had a test to see if we knew how to do the work. I think i did well on it.
